Milo Talon
by Louis L’Amour

A mystery novel set in a one-horse, western town. The story is told by Milo Talon. The motive for everyone converging on this town is never made clear, especially for Molly who has all the answers from the beginning. She gives documents to Milo with all the information needed to solve the mystery, but he waits for days before reading it. A giant Indian is brought into the story and then dropped. Milo injures his right arm one day and uses it with no difficulty in a gunfight the next day, but it bothers him in another gunfight the day after that. Overall it is exciting, but the plot is defective.
