Pride and Prejudice
by Jane Austen

The original romantic comedy. A classic. The writing is dense. It reminds me of Donald Hamilton in that respect although in every other respect (subject matter, attitude, time, place, morals, etc.) the two styles are wildly different. This book shows great intelligence and insight. It has humor and humanity. It is a positive and uplifting book.
