She uses quotations from liberals to prove that they have been more critical of the
United States than of communist governments. She also uses quotations to show liberal
views on foreign policy. Since her audience is conservatives she assumes the
statements of liberal foreign policy themselves are so outrageous that they do not
need to be refuted. This is probably correct. But nonconservatives reading the
liberal statements might think they make sense.
