Appointment in Dallas
by Hugh McDonald

This is the story of McDonald's search for the professional assassin who claims to have killed JFK. He relates some other adventures along the way. He finally meets him and records his story. The assassin was firing from the County Records Building while Lee Harvey Oswald fired from the School Book Depository. Oswald was supposed to miss. The assassin hit Kennedy twice then was supposed to kill Oswald, but the Secret Service never fired any shots to cover his shots.

The story may be true, but McDonald offers little evidence to support it. Basically, you have to take his word for it that he met a man who told this story and that the confessor told the truth.
