Beach Road
by James Patterson

A page-turning thriller about a high-school basketball star accused of 4 murders in Montauk, Long Island. Famous people are brought in to show what a big nation-wide news story this case is. The surprise ending is disappointing and implausible. Otherwise the book is up to Patterson’s high standards.
