The Betrayal of the American Right
by Murray Rothbard

Murray fits himself into this history of American political philosophy from the 1930s to 1971 along with Old Right and libertarian heroes Mencken, Nock, Chodorov, Garet Garett, Felix Morley, Hayek, Leonard Read, Bob LeFevre, etc. He quotes extensively from some of these men. He refers to a final chapter that brings the history up to the 90s, but it has been lost. This is more like a real book and less gossipy than I expected.

Year Read: 2007
