The Bronx Zoo
by Sparky Lyle

A personal, day-by-day account of the 1978 NY Yankee season. After winning the Cy Young award the year before, Sparky was screwed this year by George Steinbrenner who bought Goose Gossage and used Goose as the closer all season instead of Sparky. The book is interesting if you are a Yankee fan. Lyle is outspoken and entertaining. His observations on Steinbrenner, Billy Martin, and Reggie Jackson are most interesting.
