Cradle of Saturn
by James P. Hogan

An action novel based on the premise that the planets in our solar system came from Jupiter or Saturn and arrived in their current orbits much more recently than scientists think. A new comet spins out of Jupiter and comes close to Earth causing the death of almost everything except a few who escape in space ships and travel to colonies around Saturn.

How could dinosaurs have lived on Earth if Earth had the same gravity it has now?
