Ethan Allan
by John Pell

An excellent biography. Allen led an adventurous and full life. He was part libertarian revolutionary, part land grabber and glory-seeker, and part philosopher.

The book includes a lot of Vermont history. It is well written and contains a good bibliography, chronology, index, and map.

Year Read: 1975
