A thoroughly researched and well written account of Ayn Randís life,
writings, and influence. The author remains fairly objective with
regard to Rand. She shows Randís strengths and character flaws. Burns
is less fair to Rothbard and Mises by portraying them is minor figures
in the libertarian movement and saying Rothbard was presumptuous to
portray himself as Mr. Libertarian in contrast with Rand. Burns also
dismisses Austrian economics for being out of the mainstream.
