Guns of the Timberlands
by Louis LíAmour

A good western. Told by God. Well written. A page turner. Set in southwest. A wheeler-dealer from the east tries to use his political connections to steal the timber from a cattle rancherís land. He turns out to be tougher and smarter than expected. The title is somewhat appropriate.
