The "Higher Law" Background of American Constitutional Law
by Edward Corwin

A history of the role of natural law and natural rights in the law courts and legal texts. Corwin shows no sympathy for natural rights. His attitude is that of a lawyer who never questions the legal system, but who is interested in natural law as a historical influence on positive law. It is a history of what the author thinks is a possibly useful concept for legal briefs.
