Hornetís Nest
by Patricia Cornwell

The first non-Scarpetta novel I have read by Patricia Cornwell, and probably the last. It is far inferior to the Scarpetta novels. It is a bout the private lives of two female police officers and a gay newspaper reporter who works with them in Charlotte, NC. It is told by an omniscient god who even tells us the thoughts of the one womanís pet cat. It is so slow paced that I put it down for weeks at a time and had to force myself to finish it.

Year Read: 2006
