The Ideological Origins of the American Revolution
by Bernard Bailyn

A surprisingly libertarian interpretation of the American Revolution by a Harvard professor. It shows how libertarian ideas permeated the revolutionists and were the issues discussed by both the Tories and the Whigs.

Murray Rothbard was very enthusiastic about this book, which is why I read it.

Year Read: 1974
