The Intriguers

The 14th novel told by assassin, Matt Helm. He is assigned to stop a rouge agent from getting vengeance against police who killer his daughter and to give him an assignment to assassinate an agent working for the new head of all the US intelligence agencies who is corrupt and working for a woman senator who intends to become the next POTUS. The intrigue her is within the US rather than involving foreign agents. Mac, Helm’s long-time boss, sends his own daughter to Helm as a messenger, with the warning that she is not to be totally trusted. Hard boiled. Amoral.
