A Repairman Jack novel set back at the time when he was 14 years old living with his family in New Jersey by the pine barrows. He and friends Weezy and Henry find a corpse and a mysterious object in a mound in the pine barrows. Within a week three men associated with the local chapter of a secret society die of apparent heart attacks after meeting with the father of Jack’s friend Steve. Jack plays tricks on his brother Tom to get even with him and tricks the murderers into exposing themselves in front of the police. Written for young adults.
