Mencken Chrestomathy
by H. L. Mencken

The best of Mencken by his own opinion. The impact when you read the whole thing is surprisingly powerful. His world view is comprehensive and cogent.

Murray Rothbard loved this book. He entertained me and other guests in his living room by reading passages from it and laughing to tears.

Year Read: 1974
