Not with a bang but a whimper
by Theodore Dalrymple

Brilliant, conservative essays by a retired, British, prison psychiatrist. He decries the collapse of British civil society, morals, and education. They streets of London have been given to teenage criminal gangs. They are not safe for decent people. The education system is now designed to stroke the egos of the inmates rather than to expose them to information. Political correctness and cultural relativism have run amok. He now lives in Paris.
