Omnipotent Government
by Ludwig von Mises

This is the most uneven book I've read by von Mises. He mixes brilliant insights with inexcusable prescriptions. He blames Germany exclusively for WW I and WW II and predicts that Germany will start another war if they are not completely disarmed. His arguments on the nature of interventionism and socialism leading to autarchy and autarchy leading to wars of conquest are persuasive.
