Rails West!
by Franklin Carter

A good historical novel about people involved with building the Union-Pacific Railroad. The plot is straightforward. The characters are each clearly good, evil, or striving to overcome their moral weaknesses. I enjoyed it and read it rapidly. I look forward to reading the sequels.
