Restoring the American Dream
by Robert Ringer

Poorly written, pessimistic evaluation of the chances of saving the USA from totalitarianism. Consistently libertarian in theory and usually in analysis of events and proposals, except for foreign affairs. Almost all of his remarks about Red China, Israel, and Vietnam are idiotic. Fortunately, most of the book deals with domestic issues where he is sensible. Unfortunately, he advocates gradualism.
