Sackett
by Louis L’Amour

A good western. Well written. A page turner. Set in the Rocky mountains. The story is told by William Tell Sackett about how he followed trail markers to a gold mine in the mountains and then was pursued by gunmen eager to kill him and take over the mine. He meets a beautiful girl stranded on the mountain and rescues her. It has strong libertarian monologues. The title is appropriate, but not specific enough. It should be William Tell Sackett.

Year Read: 2004
