Sole Survivor
by Dean Koontz

A horror novel told by God about a despondent man who lost his wife and two daughters in a plane crash that killed all 300-plus passengers and crew one year ago. He meets a charismatic woman at the gravesite who tells him she was on the flight. She is then pursued and shot at by men who came in a van. He then begins to use his skills as a crime reporter to investigate. He interviews others in the LA area who lost family members on the flight. They have already been contacted by the charismatic woman. Three of the people he interviews are happy one moment and them commit suicide in front of him the next moment. Then the story gets weird and suspenseful. It is a real page-turner. Well done.
