Stranger in Paradise
by Robert B. Parker

A Jesse Stone novel about a 14-year-old slut runaway from her Mafia father. The stranger is Crow, who is a character like Hawk, who is hired by the father to find the daughter. Crow appeared in an earlier Stone novel as the sole survivor of the criminal gang that robbed the rich residents of Paradise. He finds the girl, is ordered to kill the girl’s drunken mother and return the girl to her father. Crow refuses knowing this will set off a small war. He teams up with Stone. Very good.
