Taflak Lysandra
by L. Neil Smith

The first sequel to Tom Paine Maru. It features a 15-year-old girl who’s adopted father is a coyote. They work for the Confederacy. In this adventure they are exploring the life under the surface of the plant-covered sea on a planet inhabited by warring nation-states of humans and peaceful natives who have three limbs around a large eye that has a brain inside.

It is explicitly libertarian in many places. The heroine is named after Lysander Spooner. Rothbard is mentioned as an opera composer. Enjoyable light reading for anarcho-capitalists.

Year Read: 2001
