Texas Fever
by Donald Hamilton

A good western novel about a young Texan who takes over his father‘s cattle drive after his older brother and father are murdered on the trail. The story features antagonism between Yankees and Rebels in 1867, bushwhackers, an honest sheriff and his daughter, a dishonest deputy, and a fallen southern belle who is now a sneaky whore.
