Things Fall Apart
by Chinua Achebe

A novel about an African clan that gradually falls apart after Christian missionaries arrive. It is written simply, from the Ibo point of view represented by the main character Okonkwo, a macho warrior dedicated to the traditional ways. The first half of the book is not very interesting. Then the white missionary arrives and the clash of cultures begins.
