The Thurber Carnival
by James Thurber

A collection of Thurber’s best short stories and cartoons. He is sometimes dark, much more often than he is sentimental. His animals generally have better natures than his people. His human world is a lonely place, and we all have to cope with it in our own way. His “Carnival” has more houses of horror than fun houses.
