The Wallace
by Nigel Tranter

A historical novel about William Wallace that has enough action for two Braveheart movies. It is so detailed in its descriptions of Wallace's travels that it makes you want to follow them on a map.

Wallace is 6' 7" in this book. He was a rebel before his wife was killed. He ruled Scotland for a couple years and fought in France as a general for King Phillip. Tom Halliday is featured in a couple adventures. Very enjoyable.

Year Read: 1997
