The War Myth in American History
by C. H. Hamlin

A short history of the major American wars up to WW I by an anti-war professor. It is especially good on the War of 1812, the Civil War, the Mexican War, and WW I. He shows the double standards used to justify American expansion, suppression of secession, propaganda, etc. Good stuff.
