When the Wind Blows
by James Patterson

A sci-fi novel in the style of Dean Koontz. Evil people are experimenting with human genetics in Colorado. A female veterinarian and an off-duty FBI agent try to figure out what is going on and try to save the life of an 11-year-old girl who escaped from the lab by flying over the electric fence. An enjoyable page turner.
