by Dean Koontz

A suspense novel told by God about a woman who is pursued by a maniac who wants to kill her, decapitate her, and drive a wooden stake through her heart because he believes she is his mother back from the dead. The title refers to sounds the killer hears in nightmares every day. This has the most explicit sex of any Koontz novel. The two main characters are libertarians. Well done.
